Terms and conditions for our Understanding Investment Fund Management course

The following constitute the terms and conditions to which applicants agree when booking the Understanding Investment Fund Management course from Cadogan Financial Ltd (Terms and Conditions). Throughout the terms and conditions CFL stands for Cadogan Financial Ltd.   CFL reserves the right to review and update these terms and conditions periodically.

  1. Registration with Cadogan Financial Ltd

When booking onto the course as an individual or when creating an account as an organisation we require you to provide us with certain information. In doing this, you agree to:

  1. Provide true, accurate, current and complete information
  2. Update that information when necessary to enable us to provide the course as contracted
  3. Booking the Understanding Investment Fund Management course

2.1       Booking as an individual

The course can be booked online on our website  or directly with angela@cadoganfinancial.co.uk

When you submit a booking for the course, your submission represents an offer to CFL to book you onto the course. On submission of the course form you will receive [an automated summary email of your selection].

CFL will accept your offer by entering your booking onto our system and once payment has been received send you an email confirming that you have been booked together with information on starting your learning.

2.2       Booking as an organisation

This can be arranged directly with angela@cadoganfinancial.co.uk.   Upon receipt of payment of the relevant invoice the organisation and individual user/s will receive confirmation of the booking and information on starting learning.

  1. Prices, discounts and sales taxes/VAT

The price of the course is shown on https://understandinginvestmentfundmanagement.com. Notice of new pricing will be given in advance, but CFL reserves the right to change prices listed without notice.

Discounts may be offered periodically and may be available for simultaneous multiple bookings. Any discount offered is not available in conjunction with any other offer.

If you seek a price applicable to members of CFL affiliated organisations you may be required to provide evidence of your membership of the relevant organisation.

The training course fee covers access to the online course only.  Any webinars or other services made available separately may be subject to separate charges at the discretion of CFL and notified in advance.   

  1. Payment

4.1       Payment as an individual

Fees must be paid at the point of booking via [Stripe’s secure online payment process].  We accept [AMEX, Mastercard and Visa]card payments.  A receipt will be sent to you [by email from Stripe confirming payment. Stripe will receive the information needed to verify and authorise your payment card and to process your order and is under strict legal and contractual obligations not to disclose this information to third parties]. Please note that if you do not provide accurate details (including type of card and number) or if your credit card company does not authorise payment, your application will be deemed void. CFL will not accept any liability for costs incurred as a result of applications deemed void in this manner.

4.2       Payment as an organisation

Fees must be paid prior to an organisation registering employees for the course.  Payment may be made by BACS.    Payment details will be provided on the invoice for the fees due which will be sent by email.

4.3       Sales taxes

VAT is charged at the applicable rate.

4.4       No payment by instalment

We do not invoice for fees, or accept payment, by instalments.

  1. Prevailing terms and conditions

Please note that this and all other CFL pre-contractual documentation shall not constitute an offer. All services provided by CFL are on the basis of these Terms and Conditions and if you wish to engage any CFL services we shall only provide them if you accept the Terms and Conditions. If you offer to engage CFL on your own terms and conditions then we shall only accept your offer subject to the Terms and Conditions, which shall, if we provide the services you offer to engage, prevail over any other terms and conditions.

  1. Access to the course

6.1       Access as an individual

After booking onto the course and payment being received you will be sent an email giving access to the course and will be given a licence period of 365 days. By using the course you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you cannot use the course.

6.2       Access to organisations and organisation users

Access for organisations commences from the date the organisation receives email notification of receipt of payment and provision of access to the course.  The licence period for the course for both the organisation and its users is 365 days from despatch of that email notification. 

Whilst we make every effort to keep changes to our site to a minimum, we reserve the right to make any amendments to the terms and conditions at any time to reflect changes affecting our business, including but not limited to, changes in technology, payment methods and legal and regulatory requirements. By continuing to use this site you agree to accept any changes made to the terms and conditions.

  1. Ownership and intellectual property rights

All Understanding Investment Fund Management material is owned by CFL. All intellectual property rights in all materials available from CFL, including the design, graphics and text of any printed materials and the audio of all webinars and podcasts, are owned by CFL. When access to the course is granted this is a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Understanding Investment Fund Management course. No course content may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked to in any way, in whole or in part, without CFL’s prior permission. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of the CFL’s intellectual property rights.

  1. Liability

CFL does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information in, or views expressed on, the Understanding Investment Fund Management course. Participants should take professional advice when dealing with specific situations.

  1. Technology

CFL does not warrant that the provision of any content online will always be available or be uninterrupted, timely or error free, that defects will be corrected or that such content is secure or free from bugs, viruses, errors and omissions.

  1. Cancellation of an eLearning course

Once a booking has been made for the Understanding Investment Fund Management course you have up to 14 days from the purchase date to cancel your booking and receive a full refund provided that the course has not been accessed. After the 14 days, or if the course has been accessed you will not be entitled to any refund, nor will you be able to transfer your course to another person.
